It is unnecessary to particulary emphasize that it is prudent for employers to have insurance for civil or employer's liability in the event of injuries of their employees or third parties. This is especially true if the employer's activities involve an increased risk of injury or other forms of damage. The problem for employers is that this insurance does not cover a compensation claim from the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia (ZZZS) or the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute (ZPIZ) against the employer for the costs of treating the injured party, and there is no insurance product available to cover this specific risk.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Insurance companies recognize the right to compensation for the injured under the condition that the employer or someone for whom the employer is responsible is liable for the injury, health impairment, or death of an employee or third party. An additional challenge for the employer is that the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia (ZZZS) and the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute of Slovenia (ZPIZ), based on the Health Care and Health Insurance Act, have the right to claim reimbursement of treatment costs or pensions paid to the injured or relatives of deceased workers or third parties if the employer is responsible for the injury or death.<\/p>

However, such risk is currently not insurable by Slovenian insurance companies, except to a very limited extent with one insurer, and can only be indirectly insured through other types of insurance.<\/p>

For this reason, it is recommended that employers contact us as soon as possible for advice on how to adequately insure against such risks. If they do not have the risk insured, it is advisable for employers to call us immediately when an injury occurs, so we can advise them on further actions and help them to avoid incurring unnecessary costs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t
